Santa Day Recap
Look at all those happy Santa Day faces! These are just some of the over 100 visitors whom we welcomed at St. James Anglican Church. "WE! welcomed"...but we had a great deal of help from the Santa Day committee.
Review: ABBA Tribute Concert at the Grove Theatre on May 28th
It was absolutely a magic night. We are all a little bit fatter and a little bit slower than we were in the 1970s, but Saturday night took us right back...there was dancing in the aisles to all the favourites.

A COVID Christmas at St. James Anglican
Submitted by Dana Bachman
Christmas will definitely be different this year. On November 28 the Santa Day committee was still able to come up with a way to create some holiday magic for children -- a drive by Santa! Children can still submit letters to Santa at the library and volunteers from our local post office will write responses. Are you longing for the candle lit Christmas Eve service? Or have you and your family attended the Bethlehem Live Christmas Eve service at St. James, complete with sheep, donkeys and the traditional Christmas pageant? Unfortunately those will not be happening this year, but there are still opportunities for you and your family to experience the message of hope and rebirth at Christmas. And we could all use a little hope right about now.
Fenelon Falls Got Heart
Submitted by Dana Bachman
Today, Saturday, November 28, was a beautiful sunny day. As I travelled around doing my errands in Fenelon Falls I was struck by what a big-hearted community we are. At Sobeys, a lady in a wheelchair was sitting beside the “Out” door collecting money for the Salvation Army. In a corner of the Sobeys parking lot, two young boys were waving plastic jugs of windshield washer fluid. Trentside Baptist church was offering windshield washer fluid fill up...for free! Not even asking for a donation.
The perfect COVID Staycation Excursion
Submitted by Dana Bachman and Linda Hibbert
Last week a friend and I drove about 40 minutes from Fenelon to the Miskwaa Art Studio and Outdoor Gallery, located at 250 Edwina Dr. in Bobcaygeon (Trent Lakes). It was a beautiful sunny day and it turned out to be an absolutely perfect summer excursion. Featured are the works of 12 artists, including Daniel Marlatt, Elly Wilson, Karen Richardson and Marilyn Britt. These works are all displayed outdoors in a natural setting amongst the shady trees.
