What Shopping Local Means to Me
Now more than ever, the adage “Shop Local” is important to practice in order to maintain the vibrant community of Fenelon Falls. We asked some of Fenelon’s local businesses to tell us what “Shop Local” means to them as we head into the season of holiday shopping and gift-giving; read on to see what they have to say.
Reminder to Eat, Shop and Be Merry this weekend!
Just a reminder that this weekend, November 19-22, is the Eat, Shop, and Be Merry weekend in Fenelon Falls! Lots of local shops will be open until 7:00 pm on Friday, and watch for special sales and promotions including double stamps for your Passport to Christmas all weekend long.
Time to start your holiday shopping this year - support your favourite local shops and restaurants to increase your chances of winning one of the Passport to Christmas prizes!

Celebrating its third year, A Holiday Art Market features a wide selection of over 200 original handmade items from local artists as well as artists who live outside our community. As always, there is a special focus on affordable artwork including paintings, woodturning, glasswork, prints, cards, hand-painted ornaments, blankets, books, and more beginning at $12. What a fabulous way to celebrate the creative economy in Fenelon Falls. Shop local and support artists this holiday season!
FanSaves Helps Gift Certificate Program
Submitted by FanSaves
With local businesses forced to close or reduce their hours amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the newly launched FanSaves Helps Gift Certificate Program is helping give business owners a boost across the country, Kawartha Lakes and Fenelon Falls. The program is working with the Fenelon Falls & District Chamber of Commerce and features gift certificates from local stores which can be used once things get back to normal.
“We noticed some areas were starting their own gift certificate programs so we decided to create a one-stop-shop and a hub for gift certificates from local businesses in partnership with Chambers, BIAs and organizations in regions across Canada. This is our way of giving back during this time” explained FanSaves Co-Founder & CEO, Shannon Ferguson.
