The Audience Was Enthralled!!!

The audience for Barbara Dunn -Prossers presentation of “You Must Remember This”, presented at St. James Anglican Church on Sunday October 20 was enthralled, sometimes silently listening, sometimes tearfully listening, sometimes laughing or chuckling, and sometimes responding with spontaneous applause. Barbara’s program presented various vignettes of Fenlon Falls’ 150 year history.  She played many different characters, evoking many different audience reactions.

In this picture Barbara is playing a little boy shooting at the ducks at the Fenelon Falls Fair. On the screen behind her the audience could see an aerial view of the Fenelon Falls Fair. For this vignette Barbara sang "The Fenelon Fairm Song" —A. Nicholson. There were spontaneous comments "Oh I remember..the cotton candy..those tiny donuts.." and laughter and chuckles at happy memories.

Barbara paid homage to the Horticultural Society. Here she is with her garden hat, apron and trowel. For this vignette she sang "Country Gardens" a traditional song.

As Barbara sang "All The Way Home" by S. Quarte], in honour of the veterans returning home to Fenelon Falls after World War I the audience was quietly respectful and a little tearful.
