Community Soup Lunch
Hungry? …Just walking along Bond Street East on a Friday around lunch time? …Thinking of getting to know some of your Fenelon Falls neighbours?
A warm invitation is yours — for any reason at all — to the Community Soup Lunch at Immanuel Baptist Church, 20 Bond Street East, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 pm.
“Some of us like making soup!” says long-time member of the congregation, Evelyn Nicholson. “And we have a very welcoming church hall on the lower level, next to the kitchen, that we thought we’d share with our community.”
Recently the church made a few adjustments to the kitchen, reviewed protocols for a safe public space, and was approved by the Health Unit as a community kitchen.
Immanuel also hosts the Fenelon Falls Board Game Group, who meet in the space on the second Saturday of each month. [include facebook link] and a Chair Exercise Class, with Sandra Silva RMT on the first and third Thursdays of the month, at 10:00 a.m.
At the Community Soup Lunch you will be served a hearty, nutritious, hot bowl of soup, along with rolls, coffee or tea, fruit and a sweet treat.
Enter at either the front door by the “little library,” or follow the driveway to the parking lot and entrance to the lower level.
