Local Vaccination Program Paused Until Additional Vaccine Arrives
The local Health Unit will be rescheduling upcoming vaccination clinics planned for area long term care homes after learning of a delay in the next vaccine delivery. The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit (HKPR) received its first shipment of Moderna vaccine on Monday. It was expecting its next delivery of Moderna vaccine on February 1 but has learned the next shipment will not arrive until at least February 5. A Shoutout to the Santa Day Committee
While Santa Day did not go on this year as we are all used to, the Santa Day Committee spared no creativity while lighting up our village and continuing the spirit of Christmas despite the circumstances as a result of COVID-19. A HUGE shout out to the Santa Day Committee is much deserved, for working so hard to create an opportunity for everyone to feel a little bit brighter, and a little bit more jolly. Whether you were walking or driving, you could not miss the beautiful displays. Our village truly resembled the inside of a snow globe, or better yet, an original Hallmark Christmas movie set up. Big thanks to the Santa Day Committee.
Thank You From the Fenelon Falls Lions Club
We could not have done so much without you. A big THANK YOU.
Year after year, you have supported our fundraisers enabling us to look after our community in which we live and work in. Through volunteer work and financial donations, our club has been able to support seniors, community & personal emergencies, Public & Secondary School Awards, Santa Day & Toy Drives and so many important causes that have made Fenelon Falls & Community a place to be proud of.
We look forward to when we can come together as a safe community. Until then, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and stay safe.
