Kawartha Lakes Food Source Introduces New Green Dishes Program to the Kawartha Lakes
Submitted by Kawartha Lakes Food Source
As a community leader in food issues, the Kawartha Lakes Food Source is always looking for innovative ways to build and strengthen food security within the City of Kawartha Lakes. Today the Kawartha Lakes Food Source announced the kick-off of a new program designed to eliminate the need for disposable dishes at community events, while also supporting food banks across the Kawartha Lakes. “We were inspired by our recent work with FoodRescue.ca to expand our efforts to reduce waste related to food and its consumption”, says Jessica Topfer, FoodRescue.ca Coordinator at the Kawartha Lakes Food Source. “Our new Green Dishes program will allow our community to reduce their environmental impact when hosting events that include food, while also helping food banks feed the need across the Kawartha Lakes. By putting your food on our Green Dishes, you’re allowing us to fill more plates in the community.”

Have you ever wondered what Tarot is really about, why it works, how it works? Reading Tarot cards has come a long way since being stereotyped as a fortune-telling item, to a tool that can be of great assistance in many areas of one's life. Perhaps you have a burning question about the direction your life is heading or need some clarification on decisions you are making or sometimes just a check-in with ourselves through this ancient system of understanding. To this end a Meet and Greet gathering will be held on Saturday, February 22nd at 1 pm at Curious, 10-B Water St. in Fenelon Falls.
