Community Foundation of Kawartha Lakes Participates in the Distribution of the Government of Canada’s Community Services Recovery Fund
Community Foundations of Canada alongside Canadian Red Cross, and United Way Centraide Canada have been selected to distribute funding to help a broad and diverse range of charities, non-profits and Indigenous Governing bodies. The Community Services Recovery Fund is a one-time investment of $400 million that will help charities, non-profits and Indigenous Governing Bodies to acquire the tools they need to adapt and modernize so they can better support pandemic recovery in communities across Canada.
Announcing: TELUS Health MyCare
On behalf of the Community Foundation of Kawartha Lakes (CFKL) and the Community Fund of Fenelon Fall (CFFF), I am pleased to announce a collaboration with TELUS Health MyCare to promote community awareness of opportunities to access virtual health care and thereby improve overall health and well-being. This project will help residents without access to a family doctor as well as those who wish to seek after-hours medical care.

With great pride and sense of honour, the past President and Co-Founder of the Community Foundation of Kawartha, Mike Perry has established the Doug & Mary Perry Higher Education Fund with the Community Foundation of Kawartha Lakes. In memory of his loving parents, Mike has launched this Fund intended to provide financial support and encouragement to graduates from the Fenelon Falls Secondary School, interested in a career in teaching.

The Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society Fund has been established to raise funds in support of a multitude of horticultural projects in and around Fenelon Falls, today and into the future. The Community Foundation is a reflection of the community’s core values. Working with community organizations and projects like this, the Community Foundation provides innovative opportunities to invest in the people and needs of Kawartha Lakes, by creating funds that build prosperity now and for future generations.

The Fenelon Arts Committee (FAC) is happy to announce a new initiative in support of our current Sculpture Project: The Scale Model Gift Program. This unique opportunity offers donors the choice to take home a scale model of James C. Smith’ Portage or Susan Rankin’s River Grove with a minimum donation of $2,000.
