The Royal Canadian legion Announces their Third Annual Literary Contest for Seniors
The restrictions in force respecting COVID-19 have impacted all our lives for almost a year. Many of us have much more time on our hands with no place to go or no one to visit. What better way to spend some of those hours than creating a poem, story or a biography of your life that might become a family treasure. Take heart Shakespeare wrote King Lear, Macbeth and Antony & Cleopatra during a plague lockdown in the early 1600’s hence you are in good company.
Announcing the Winners of the Legion's Seniors' Literary Contest

This year’s contest saw a 100% increase in entries. The creativity and imagination was awesome. All winners will receive a modest monetary award, but the bragging rights are awesome!! Deadline Reminder for The Royal Canadian Legion Fenelon Falls Literary Contest for Seniors

We hope all our seniors are coping as well as can be expected during these uncertain times of COVID-19. A reminder that the deadline is fast approaching. The deadline is 6:00pm September 25, 2020 for submission of your entry. Deadline Extended for The Royal Canadian Legion Fenelon Falls Literary Contest for Seniors

We hope all our seniors in the wider community of Fenelon Falls are coping as well as can be expected during these uncertain times of COVID-19. When we introduced our second Literary Contest for Seniors earlier in the year, open to those 55 years plus in the community, one could never imagine the circumstances that reflect our “new normal” just a few short months later. Submissions will be accepted from residents of Fenelon Falls and vicinity. We have extended the submission deadline to 6:00pm September 25, 2020.
