Spring Appeal Letter Encourages Support for Community’s New MRI
There are moments from Kate Winn’s breast cancer experience that she will never forget. Thanks to the exceptional care she received at the Ross Memorial Hospital, including an MRI to guide her surgery, Kate is cancer free. When Kate learned that the community’s aging MRI must be replaced and that government funding doesn’t cover the cost, she wanted to help fundraise the $2.5 million cost of the MRI and encourage others to give, too. For more information or to make an online donation, please visit the RMH Foundation’s website, www.rmh.org/foundation.

From the Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society
We had our first in-person meeting since November 2019 this past Monday evening at the Seniors’ Club on Murray Street. Vaccinations were required and everyone in attendance masked and used the sanitizer provided. There were three happy winners of the “Gifting For Gardeners” baskets/packages and our presentation topic of “Ideas For Growing Vegetables” by Liz and Nick Case was informative and certainly timely. Many cool weather vegetables such as peas, radishes, spinach, cabbage, lettuce and many others can be planted now that the soil can be worked.
Thank You from the Kawartha Lakes Country Living Show Committee!
On behalf of the Country Living Show Committee and the Fenelon Falls Chamber of Commerce, we are simply overwhelmed with the success, support, and feedback we received with the return of the show this past weekend. After a 2 year hiatus, we were thrilled to have a completely full show, with the attendance numbers considerably close to our record year in 2019. We had the help of amazing community members, volunteers, and our own families!
