The Centre’s dream is to make connections between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, outside, on the land. Globus Theatre is bringing an exciting and fun musical comedy to the stage in August, Tip of the Iceberg. Born and raised in Newfoundland, fishermen Gordon and Archie are lifelong friends. There’s been an upswing in visitors to their little fishing village recently with tourists clamoring for an authentic Newfoundland experience. To entrepreneur Archie this means opportunity – he believes he’s found a way to reclaim their vigor and make money doing so. So, they set off on an adventure for the key ingredient…ice!
Get Yourself to Million Dollar Quartet at the Grove!
From one of the most provocative eras of music comes a completely evocative show. Million Dollar Quartet takes place in 1956 at Sun Records, where Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley all got their start. On this one particular day the stars aligned and all four musicians found themselves in the same place at the same time. Sun Records producer, Sam Phillips, hit record and a legendary jam session was captured that day.

The Grove Theatre Silent Auction
"215+ Children Taken" by Sandy McMullen will be available via silent auction in support of The Grove Theatre Story Pole Fund. The painting will be on display on Thursday July 27 and Friday July 28 - the opening nights of our 2 mainstage shows, Million Dollar Quartet and The Comedy of Errors. You do not have to attend opening night to bid, however - instructions on how to bid are below.

Kawartha Trans Canada Trail Association Completes Paved Upgrade on Omemee Trail
Just in time for active summer trail use, the upgrade and paving of 1.6 km of Omemee section of the Kawartha Trans Canada Trail is now complete and accessible for all public non-motorized use.

Our general meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 24th! Please join us for a very informative and enjoyable gathering. Our guest speaker will be Stephanie Kidd. She is a red seal certified horticultural technician and has been involved in garden installations for private residences as well as for many public spaces including Yonge and Dundas Square, the Ontario Science Centre, Princess Margaret Hospital and the Gardener Museum, to name only a few.
