The Horticultural Society's Annual General Meeting
The last meeting of 2022, our Annual General Meeting, will take place at the Senior Citizens Club at 7 PM on Monday, November 28th at 58 Murray Street in Fenelon Falls.

We would like to thank the community—Fenelon Falls and beyond!—for an incredibly successful Second Annual Pumpkin Parade. With double the (very creative) pumpkins donated this year and a full theatre each night, it was a truly magical experience.

Artist, Donna Bisschop, Brings Colour and Joy to Local Lore
Speaking with artist, Donna Bisschop, over the phone feels like a cozy meander through the woods. Multi-talented Donna moved to Fenelon eight years ago on Hallowe’en. She is a visual artist first, working mainly in acrylics both large scale and small, but is also a passionate vocalist and drummer with her band, Dig the Moon.

Shinny Hockey Returns to Arenas this Fall
The Kawartha Lakes Parks and Recreation Division is pleased to welcome the return of drop in Shinny Hockey to select Arenas this fall. Drop in Shinny Hockey is a non-contact, co-ed program for players 16 years of age and older. Senior Shinny is also offered for players 55 years of age and older.
Christmas Is Coming!
On Monday, October 24th, we will be having our October Meeting at the Senior Citizens Club (58 Murray Street, Fenelon Falls) at 7:00 PM. Our speaker this month will be Penni Holdham, a Props Master and multi-awarded Live Event Designer and Producer. She will be giving us many timely tips and tricks to use when decorating for Christmas.

The hay bale art displays are popping up in town again—for the third year. Watch over the next few days for new creations at these locations!
The Grove Theatre's 2nd Annual Pumpkin Parade
Walk a parade of locally carved pumpkins at the beautiful Grove Theatre, giving second life to Fenelon's carved pumpkins. This accessible, walk-through event is FREE to the public. Access is scheduled every half-hour.
Fashion Through Time
A fashion show unlike any you have ever attended! Remember Rocky Horror Picture show where the audience threw toast at the screen? Did you attend the Queen’s Silver Jubilee tea and wear a fascinator? The Fashion Through Time Event, on Oct 22 at the United Church in Fenelon Falls is a little bit like that. The audience is part of the show. Guests are invited to wear “fashion through time” that is meaningful to them.

This October our club presents 'A Sunday Morning of Herping: An outing guided by Dr. Josh Feltham'. Herping describes the act of searching out amphibians and reptiles, and who better to guide this search than amphibian expert and Fleming College professor Dr. Josh Feltham.
Breakfast Television filming live in Fenelon Falls on Tuesday September 27
On Tuesday September 27 Breakfast Television will be in Kawartha Lakes filming a portion of the show aboard a 60’ R&R Houseboat docked at Lock 34 in Fenelon Falls. Hosts Frank Ferragine and Devo Brown from Breakfast Television will be visiting Fenelon Falls and taking in the Kawartha Lakes Houseboat Experience to share with viewers on the live show. Residents are invited to come down to Lock 34 in Fenelon Falls on September 27 from 6am to 10am to meet Frank and Devo and to watch the live broadcast.
Mushrooms: The Hidden World Beneath our Feet
The September meeting of the Fenelon Falls Horticultural Club will be held next Monday night, 7 P.M., at the Fenelon Falls Senior Citizens Club, 58 Murray Street. The topic, “The Hidden World Beneath Our Feet” is a fascinating one and you are sure to learn some amazing new facts.
Victoria County Studio Tour
The Victoria County Studio Tour is a self-driving art tour that takes place over two weekends. It showcases the work of 37 artists showing at 21 locations…offering a unique blend of mediums, something for every taste.
Fenelon Falls Tennis Club Championships
Saturday September 17th was a spectacular day at the Fenelon Falls Tennis Club (FFTC) as members and tennis fans turned out to watch the final round of this year's Club Championships. The day showcased the Mixed Doubles, Men's Doubles and Women’s Doubles final matches followed by a BBQ and social. For the many spectators and players in attendance, it was the culminating event to another great season of tennis.
Tell Me Something Good: Sharing Stories of Resilience & Hope
The Resiliency Collective, an umbrella group of local service providers that includes the Therapeutic Family Care Program and Five Counties Children’s Centre, wants to better define and share stories of ‘resiliency’ in the community. The Collective is organizing a free virtual event on October 19 that is open to everyone and meant to inspire participants and local service providers with unique, uplifting stories of hope.
