Play the "Lake Cameron" Puzzle
Submitted by Anne Kulmala
My sister and Step Mom made the trek to Fenelon Falls from Paris, Ontario late this summer. COVID could no longer keep them away as our family added 2 new members, one in June and one in August. 2 new babies, 2 new Grandchildren for me and new Great Grandchildren for Jean Kulmala, my Step Mom. We had a “distanced” visit and walked down along the beach with some of the kids. It was a beautiful windy day with sunlight sparkling off the waves and a perfect place to be able to meet. It reminded me just how fortunate we are to live in this beautiful playground we call Fenelon Falls. My sister Barbara MacDonald, has created an online puzzle of Cameron Lake from a photo she took at Garnet Graham Park. You are invited to enjoy the jigsaw puzzle at the following link: https://www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=0acf60940814
A Portrait of Small Town Life In Winter, In Two Parts
In early 2020 Cottage Life magazine reached out to the Chamber of Commerce about the opportunity for a feature story in their winter edition. It was an opportunity to showcase another great season in Fenelon Falls so of course, the answer was yes. In March, just before lockdown, the photographer arrived to capture photos and stories of local residents and business owners. You can find the results in the recently released Winter 2020 edition or on Apple News.

Local Team Takes Part in CIBC Run for the Cure
Submitted by Patricia Goode Zahorec
On Sunday, October 4, the Pink WR Crawler Team took part in the CIBC Run for the Cure for the 16th year in a row. This year was a very unusual and challenging year for us all due to covid and social distancing. The regular Run was cancelled and in its place, there was a virtual event. Our little team of 10 ladies decided to continue to participate by doing the Run in our little Hamlet of Rosedale.

Keeping It Local
Submitted by Cheri Davidson on behalf of City of Kawartha Lakes
There’s no doubt about the impact that COVID-19 is having on our community. Small business owners have been hit hard by the restrictions, cost of safety protocols and the ongoing uncertainty of the pandemic. Consumer confidence is an issue, as virtually everyone from students to seniors are feeling the impacts. In response, the municipality, with the support of all four Chambers of Commerce (Fenelon Falls, Coboconk, Norland and Area, Bobcaygeon, Lindsay and District) and the Lindsay Downtown Business Improvement Area (BIA), is leading a multi-faceted campaign to encourage awareness and action for shopping local.
The Grove Theatre Update: Landscaping, Planting and Beautification Efforts have Begun!
Submitted by Maddy Warlow on behalf of Kawartha Works Community Co-operative
Some exciting updates are happening with the new Grove Theatre in Fenelon Falls! Landscaping, planting and beautification has begun. We want to extend a huge thank you to the Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society who have volunteered their efforts with a contracting team to take on landscaping and planting at the outdoor amphitheatre. With the help of a $15,000 grant from the Fenelon Legacy CHEST Fund contributed by the City of Kawartha Lakes for the landscaping, the development of the Grove Theatre continues to progress throughout the fall season.
