Do you know where your Vitamin D comes from?

Living in Canada, the shorter colder days and lack of sunshine mean that you are likely to be Vitamin D deficient this time of year, so keeping track of your intake is vital and right now, Vitamin D is proving more important than ever. Deficiencies have been linked to poor sleep, pain, muscle weakness and depression. Additionally, Vitamin D is linked to preventing skeletal issues such as rickets, improved immune function and cardiovascular health and while evidence remains spotty, there have also been preliminary studies linking it to improved outcomes related to acute respiratory issues, including COVID-19.

Meet Kellie-Anne

Hello everyone! My name is Kellie-Anne Powell, and I am the new placement student at the Fenelon Falls tourism office. A little bit about myself- I am in my final semester at Fleming College in the Global Travel program. I have never worked in online marketing before, so this job is a fun change of pace! I have really enjoyed getting acquainted with each member's business (virtually, of course!) and I would love to take a trip down to Fenelon once things clear up to meet everyone in person.

A Shoutout to the Santa Day Committee

A Shoutout to the Santa Day Committee

While Santa Day did not go on this year as we are all used to, the Santa Day Committee spared no creativity while lighting up our village and continuing the spirit of Christmas despite the circumstances as a result of COVID-19. A HUGE shout out to the Santa Day Committee is much deserved, for working so hard to create an opportunity for everyone to feel a little bit brighter, and a little bit more jolly. Whether you were walking or driving, you could not miss the beautiful displays. Our village truly resembled the inside of a snow globe, or better yet, an original Hallmark Christmas movie set up. Big thanks to the Santa Day Committee.
