NEWS RELEASE from Eastern Ontario Regional Network
After years of preparation, March 19 marked one of the most exciting days in the history of EORN, certainly in my time on the board. The Cell Gap Project contract is now formally signed and we are looking forward to improving the quality of life for people across eastern Ontario through an extensive network of new and updated telecommunications infrastructure deployed by our partner Rogers Communications. As with any larger infrastructure project, solving gaps in cell connectivity will take a few years.

Now more than ever we should be working to reduce our carbon footprint and maintain a healthy earth for generations to come. For the entire Month, the Country Cupboard is offering FREE frozen yogurt to anyone who does a little litter clean up. All you have to do is take a photo of the clean up and bring it into the store. Saving the earth and eating frozen yogurt while at it, not a bad deal.

From your Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society!
We want to remind you that it is still too soon to be cleaning up your gardens!
The pollinators overwintering in the stems and debris of last fall’s greenery are not ready to emerge yet - - it is not warm enough for them to survive. It is frustrating to see your gardens needing care and not getting the work done during this nice weather, but until the days and nights are over 10C it is too early. It won’t be long now. Stay patient!

Annual Burn Ban for Kawartha Lakes Takes Place April 1st, 2021
Kawartha Lakes – Starting April 1, the municipality of Kawartha Lakes will enforce the annual burn ban for the entire month of April. Residents will be notified when the ban is lifted.
"Each year in April, a burn ban is imposed as part of our open air burning by-law. Even though there may be still be snow or warnings for localized flooding, dry grass and debris catch fire easily and the flames spread quickly," said Fire Chief Pankhurst. "The April burn ban helps reduce the risk to our residents and firefighters.”
