A Sold-Out Opening Weekend Success at The Grove Theatre
The Grove Theatre is elated to announce their opening weekend of programming was a sold-out success! Patrons, donors, volunteers, and artists alike gathered at The Grove, located on the Fenelon Fairgrounds between August 5-7 for a truly magical weekend.

The Kawartha Lakes Arts Festival’s First Online Auction!
The Kawartha Arts Festival is thrilled to have launched our first Online Art Auction, in support of our artists who are missing the Festival for the second year in a row.
The auction features 37 pieces of art from 11 artists, including a Young At Art participant, and runs until 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 5 - which would have marked the closing of the 2021 Festival.

Since the start of the pandemic, A Place Called Home has seen a substantial increase in the numbers of people needing assistance both in the City of Kawartha Lakes and the County of Haliburton. The pandemic created fear and uncertainty resulting in more people living in precarious situations, while also impacted by the local housing market and the lack of availability of rooms and apartments.

Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society: Anna’s Perennials and Nursery Garden
Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society is going to Anna's Perennials located south of Bobcaygeon at 63 Shoreview Road on August 23. Come at 2 or 6 to enjoy a stroll through these magnificent gardens. There are several acres of beautifully-designed gardens with walkways and paths including full sun beds, the shade garden and the woodland garden.

Many of the beautiful gardens are in full bloom right now, so you may want to go out and take photos of these historic sites to capture their full essence. Calling on the Artsy - Board Members Wanted!
The Kawartha Arts Festival has some vacancies on its Board, and we are anxious to find the right people to fill those spots. Following the 30th annual Kawartha Arts Festival in 2019, and just as planning was underway for 2020, COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the event. Undaunted, the committee eagerly looked forward to being able to resume in 2021. In the past 10 months, we have been saddened and diminished by the passing of three valued members of our team.

So far, along this journey, we have had the pleasure of highlighting the beautiful gardens at Cenotaph Park, around Maryboro Lodge, and introducing you to the team! Let’s celebrate these young FFHS volunteer gardeners from Fenelon Langton Child Care Centre who are caring for the Langton Community Garden. They are weeding, watering and harvesting the food for our local food bank. The youngest gardeners in Fenelon Falls! Thank you!
