Announcing: TELUS Health MyCare
On behalf of the Community Foundation of Kawartha Lakes (CFKL) and the Community Fund of Fenelon Fall (CFFF), I am pleased to announce a collaboration with TELUS Health MyCare to promote community awareness of opportunities to access virtual health care and thereby improve overall health and well-being. This project will help residents without access to a family doctor as well as those who wish to seek after-hours medical care.

Overdose Awareness Day
They are more than overdose statistics. Behind the numbers are real individuals – mothers, fathers, children, partners and others – who leave behind grieving loved ones. Acknowledging the grief and ending the stigma associated with overdose deaths is the focus of an Overdose Awareness Day event coming to Lindsay’s Victoria Park (190 Kent Street West) on Wednesday, August 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Rotary Club of Fenelon Falls Volunteer Appreciation Evening
Maryboro Lodge Museum provided the perfect venue for the Rotary Club of Fenelon Falls Volunteer Appreciation Evening thanking community members from around the area who stepped up to the plate to work at the Covid 19 Vaccine Clinics held at the Fenelon Falls Community Centre from April 2021 to April 2022.
Proposed Clifton St Pedestrian Bridge
The Fenelon Falls and District Chamber of Commerce Waterfront Improvement Committee, in partnership with the City of Kawartha Lakes, is currently investigating the feasibility of constructing a single span pedestrian bridge over the Fenelon River roughly in alignment with Clifton Street.

United Way Seeking Garden Volunteers!
Calling all green thumbs! 🌿 The United Way of the City of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton is looking for volunteers to help weed, harvest and maintain Edwin Binney’s Community Garden. The produce from the garden is donated to local programs to fight food insecurity and help feed our community.
