Fenelon Falls Chamber of Commerce’s Annual General Meeting
As the FFDCC Board of Directors was planning for the New Year, we thought a fun night out would be the perfect way to chase away the January blues. We invite you join us for dinner, drinks and BINGO at the Fenelon Falls Legion on Saturday, January 28th. We'll also squeeze in a little business as you vote in the 2023 Directors, review the 2022 Chamber financials and celebrate the year's accomplishments.
Missing Children Society of Canada Introduces Council to the Child Search Network & MCSC Rescu App
In the Committee of the Whole meeting on January 10, 2023, Council received a presentation by Kawartha Lakes Police Services (KLPS) Chief Mark Mitchell, Detachment Commander for the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Tim Tatchell, and Missing Children's Society of Canada’s (MCSC) CEO Amanda Pick. Following the tragic drowning of Draven Graham in June 2022, Kawartha Lakes OPP and KLPS have worked closely with stakeholders to adopt a new way to help find missing children faster.

New Electronic Billing Service Option for Property Tax and Utility Bills
Kawartha Lakes residents now have the choice to opt in to a new service called Payreq to electronically receive property tax and utility bills. Payreq provides a personal and secure digital mailbox to easily receive and store bills.

You No Longer Need To Get Called Down To The Principal’s Office To See Some Exceptional Canadian Art
In 2020, Mark Cossarin the Principal of Lindsay Collegiate and Vocational Institute (LCVI), a secondary school in Lindsay, Ontario, knew that the school had some significant pieces of Canadian artwork on the walls of the school, and contacted Kawartha Art Gallery in Lindsay, Ontario, to discuss the possibility of a long-term loan of the artwork to the Gallery.

Scottish Curlers To Play at the Fenelon Falls Curling Club During 2023 Strathcona Cup
Once every 10 years, Canada plays host to the world’s oldest international men’s curling bonspiel, the “Strathcona Cup”. This month-long curling bonspiel brings together 60 male curlers from Scotland to play against Canadians in curling centres across Canada.

Kawartha Field Naturalists Annual 'Members Night'
A December tradition held by the Kawartha Field Naturalists is to host a fun and inclusive 'Members Night'. At this meeting our members share their nature and/or travel adventures from the last year with us in celebration of the end of another nature filled year!
