Fenelon Residents Getting “Ready for the Rain”
April showers may bring May flowers, but they can also put stress on local sewer systems and roads. Fenelon residents are getting ready this year with free rain barrels. Some 150, 50-gallon barrels will be distributed to residents of Fenelon Falls on a first-come, first-served:

Spring is here and it’s the perfect time to get out and connect with friends and neighbours at the Kawartha Lakes Country Living Show. We’re looking for enthusiast volunteers to welcome everyone to the show and help make this our most successful show ever. There are a number of roles and shifts throughout the weekend and meal(s) are provided during your shift.

Fred Brandon Memorial Bonspiel
The Fenelon Falls Curling Club hosted the Fred Brandon Men's Bonspiel presented by Handley Lumber February 24th and 25th. This is a competitive bonspiel with 16 teams coming from as far away as Galt (Cambridge) and Ottawa.
Iconic Fenelon Falls Seniors' Centre Receives Generous Donation
The Fenelon Falls Senior Citizens’ Club was selected by the 100 Women Who Care Kawartha Lakes as the recipient of their first charitable donation of the year. This generous donation of $14,550.00, was received with gratitude by members of the club’s executive on March 1, 2023 in Lindsay Ontario.

The International Women’s Day (IWD) flag has been raised outside Kawartha Lakes City Hall in Lindsay and will remain up until the end of the week. The global IWD theme this year is Embrace Equity.
Nominations open for the 2023 Accessibility Awareness Award
At least 22% of Canadians encounter daily challenges due to disabilities and many unsung heroes are doing their part to try and level the playing field to create equal access to community life. To shed light on the challenges and recognize the community's Accessibility Champions, each spring the Kawartha Lakes Accessibility Advisory Committee (KLAAC), a group of volunteers that advises Council, seeks out the accessibility leaders of our community — employers, program designers, service providers, shopkeepers, friends and families — to celebrate them in a special award ceremony.
New survey to find out the Kawartha Lakes community’s interest in building pollinator habitats

2023 Summer Company Program Applications Open until May 31
Kawartha Lakes is now accepting applications for the 2023 Summer Company program. This program offers an opportunity for students to start and manage their own businesses. Successful applicants will receive a grant of up to $3,000, as well as invaluable training and mentorship from local business leaders.
