Kawartha Lakes: Your ultimate fall scenic drive destination
To make your autumn trip planning easy, Kawartha Lakes Tourism has developed four new scenic driving routes featuring itineraries and tips to guide you through peak fall colours and roadside attractions. The new Kawartha Lakes Scenic Drives map and guidebook is available in both print and digital formats, including individual maps for each route and how to connect them all together.
Help The Grove Theatre Get a Commonwell LEAF Grant!
We have submitted to The Commonwell L.E.A.F. grant for up to $50,000 in support of the launch of Summer Camp 2024. But we need YOUR HELP! Support our goal of making camp a reality at The Grove Theatre.
From the Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society: Christmas Decorating Tips
Our October meeting will be held at the Fenelon Falls Senior Citizens’ Club (58 Murray Street, Fenelon Falls) next Monday, October 23rd. Our Guest speaker will be Penni Holdham, an artist, designer and muralist who, as a Certified Special Event Professional, has hosted hundreds of successful festivals and events workshops in Kawartha Lakes and Northumberland over the years.
Annual Fenelon Falls Turkey Trot a Big Success
The annual Fenelon Falls Turkey Trot was held on Saturday October 7th at Garnett Graham Park. The event was a big success with 240 registrations this year which was double last year.

Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue and KATVA/KORMA unite to enhance trail safety with what3words app signage
Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue Service (KLFRS) is proud to announce a collaborative effort with volunteers from the Kawartha All-Terrain Vehicle Association (KATVA) and Kawartha Off-Road Motorcycle Association (KORMA) to enhance trail safety within Kawartha Lakes. Together, they are installing what3words app reminder signage throughout the expansive Kawartha Lakes trail system to help ensure the safety and well-being of trail users.

Three Free Cyber Awareness Information Sessions
October is Cyber Security Awareness Month, and Kawartha Lakes Public Library, in collaboration with Kawartha Lakes Economic Development and the Kawartha Lakes Small Business Centre, is hosting three free Cyber Awareness Information Sessions aimed at equipping the general public with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the digital landscape safely and confidently.

Applications for the fall cohort of the Starter Company PLUS program are now open until October 18, 2023. Through the Provincially funded Starter Company PLUS program, Kawartha Lakes SBC offers business training, mentorship and a grant up to $5,000 to help eligible entrepreneurs successfully launch their business.
The Fenelon Falls Seniors’ Club to host a Fall Craft Show on Oct 21st
This show not only provides a lovely unique shopping experience for the community but helps to provide exposure to local crafters and artisans. The FFSC is once again pleased to be providing this popular social event, assisted by our volunteers with leadership provided by our Volunteer Coordinator and Recruiter, and we are looking forward to its success.
