Tourism Ambassadors, Then + Now: Alex Tan
Over the years the Chamber of Commerce Tourism Office has been home to a number of fantastic summer students. The role of the summer students is so important we created the Tourism Ambassador program to make the most of their talents as they showcase our community. It was recently International Students Day so we wanted to launch a new Town Crier feature where we catch up with our former students! Here’s our first student article from Alex Tan.
Kawartha Field Naturalists Annual 'Members Night'
A December tradition held by the Kawartha Field Naturalists is to host a fun and inclusive 'Members Night'. At this meeting our members share their nature and/or travel adventures from the last year with us in celebration of the end of another nature filled year! This event is open and free to all interested in attending.
Tickets to Backyard Summer Social Make for Great Holiday Gifts
If the cold weather has you down, this gift item with its promise of a unique summer experience is sure to warm hearts over the holidays. Five Counties Children’s Centre is hosting its second annual Backyard Summer Social on June 24, 2023 from 1-4 pm. While the event is still more than six months away, tickets are now available just in time for the holidays.

Well, Fenelon bakers, you really came through! You knocked the socks off our judges, Councillor, Mike Perry, and Cow & Sow/On the Locks owner, Haley Pickering. It was no easy decision but there are two winners of this year's Banana Baking Contest!

The Book Lady's Shampoo Drive
The Book Lady's Shampoo Drive is back! We are collecting personal care items from now until the end of December for students in need at FFSS. Check the list here for the most needed items. Dropping some of these off for donation at the bookstore is a super easy way to get onto Santa's "Nice" list this year!

Move over gingerbread, it's Banana Baking Contest Time!
Thanks to Sobeys, many of us were treated to free bananas this past Monday, after the store received 100 extra boxes with their shipment. So, I thought a Fenelon Falls Banana Baking Contest would be a fun way to use those bananas! Next Tuesday, November 22nd, please drop off your contest entries to the Cow & Sow between 11am and 7pm. Be sure to fill out the entry form.

Proud Announcement from St James Anglican Church
St. James Anglican Church, Fenelon Falls and the Digital Museums Canada are proud to announce the completion of a joint project. St. James received a grant to tell the story of Anne Langton and her part in the history of St. James the Apostle Anglican Church. The exhibition is now streaming on the Digital Museums Canada website.
