Outdoor Kawartha Launches!
Outdoor Kawartha is a partnership between two local natives with a passion for the outdoors and the Kawartha Lakes. The limited supply of outdoor rental equipment and their dedication to the hospitality industry is what birthed the idea of Outdoor Kawartha.
Filming wrapped in Kawartha Lakes
Filming has wrapped as of May 18 on the Kawartha Trans Canada Trail. Monk, a mystery comedy-drama series about a brilliant detective with obsessive-compulsive disorder, aired its last season in 2009. The character returns in an upcoming movie to solve one last case involving his stepdaughter Molly, a journalist preparing for her wedding.
Get Ready for June at The Grove!
Our season kicks off on June 16th with country queen and local favourite, Madison Kozak. Her North of Nashville show features her beautiful songs, some great stories about the Nashville scene, and includes special guest performers like Griffen Palmer and more!
The Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society’s Plant Sale
Our annual plant sale is happening on Sat May 27th from 8am-2pm. There will be so much more than plants to purchase. We have local vendors selling glass art, metal garden art creations, painting art, birdhouses and feeders, red wiggly worm compost bins, fabric art, tomato plants, herbal teas, honey, maple syrup, beverages and mini charcuterie plates and so much more.
Free Music Workshops for Youth Happening this Weekend!
Made in Kawarthas Weekend are pleased to announce TWO FREE MUSIC workshops for youth ages 4-17 this upcoming weekend. Both workshops feature some great Fenelon Falls community groups and volunteers, including “the Fenelon Museum,” “Fenelon Live,” Bev Jeeves and the Bowyer Family. Crayola in Lindsay has provided all art supplies for workshops!

On Monday, May 29th at 7:00 P.M., come to the Senior Citizens Club of Fenelon Falls (58 Murray Street) to discover How to Tackle Weeds and Invasives In Your Garden! (But Richard wanted the title to be: “So many weeds . . . so little time.”!)
Fenelon Falls Turkey Trot Fun Run/walk joins the Fenelon Chamber of Commerce
Fenelon Falls annual thanksgiving weekend fun run/walk is set for Saturday October 7th 10 am at Garnet Graham Park. The event is in its 6th year and is an opportunity for local folks and visitors from outside the area to take part in some outdoor physical activity on thanksgiving weekend.

St James Anglican Fashion Show SOLD OUT!
St. James Anglican Church’s Fashion show was held on Mothers Day, Saturday May 13, and was sold out two weeks before the show date. It had been advertised using a picture of a mature model. Obviously that was a big selling feature! Fifty-seven guests attended and six mature models of various sizes walked down the runway, showing off twenty four outfits.
